About The Parish

St Columb is situated in mid-Cornwall, about 5 miles inland from the north coast.The parish covers an area of about 20 square miles. Much of the land in the parish is used for farming, with small areas of woodland. The parish of St Columb Major consists of 1,215 households and 3,855 residents.

The Council comprises fourteen Councillors, nine of whom serve the Town Ward, two the North Ward and three the South Ward.

Meetings of the Full Council are held on the first, and every other month, third Tuesday of the month. All planning matters are dealt with at Full Council Meetings.

Our Mission

The Town Council of St Columb Major will promote and defend the best interests of the town for the ultimate benefit of everyone. It will work in partnership with others to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of its community. It will promote the town in a positive manner providing those services for which it is responsible in a friendly, efficient and cost effective manner and where appropriate in co-operation with other relevant authorities.
