- ii) Diary Report from the Mayor
Cllr Taylor presented his report:
“Good evening, everyone
Firstly, I would like to Congratulate St Columb Major AFC on
winning the Division 4 East League. This a testament to the hard
work and commitment of everyone and all the players, and I know
that this Town is proud of them.
Councillor O’Connor and I had the pleasure of attending the grand
opening of Prickles and Paws Hogspital on the 28th of March. It is a
fantastic charity dedicated to caring for our prickly friends, nursing
them back to health before releasing them back into the wild.
If you get the opportunity, I would strongly recommend paying them
a visit to see first-hand the wonderful work they carry out, it really is
something quite special within our community.
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to Amy, who joins us this
evening. Many of you will already know her, but for those who do
not, Amy is our new Administrative Officer and will be working with
Jeremy on a day-to-day basis. We are very pleased to have her on
board.
On a more serious note, I must remind all councillors that any matters
discussed in closed session are strictly private and confidential. It has
come to my attention that information from these discussions may
have entered the public domain. I want to be absolutely clear that this
is a very serious issue and could result in a formal Code of Conduct
investigation.”
