Financial Policies

These Financial Regulations govern the financial management of the council and may only be amended or varied by resolution of the council.

The council is required to maintain adequate Financial Reserves to meet the needs of its operations and to ensure financial security.

Internal Control means the systems in place to maintain good financial governance. The Responsible Financial Officer (also the Clerk) has legal responsibility to ensure that proper internal controls are set up and maintained.
